The mission of St. John the Baptist Catholic School, a mission of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, provides for the spiritual and academic needs of children (PreK-8) from our community. Working together as parents, faculty, and parish community, we educate the whole child by providing a stimulating, high quality Catholic education in a safe and caring learning environment. Our commitment is to ensure that each child grows academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally while learning to live the Gospel message.
A pine tree was planted on the playground
to symbolize the growth of the school during the 2012-2013.
The Early Childhood program expanded to include 3 year olds in the Jaguar Cubs class, and St. John's added two new faculty positions:
a teacher's aide position filled by Ms. Maria Billhartz
and a music teacher position filled by Ms. Jamie Marble.
The tree will also be a symbol of the spiritual and academic growth of the students throughout their years at St. John's School.
The Jaguar Cub and Junior Kindergarten students who attend on Fridays planted the tree with the help of their upper grade buddies.
Special thanks to grandparents Steve and Mary Schaefer for donating the tree and to Effinger's Garden Center for providing a discount.
